Oliveira Square<\/p>\n

One of the most emblematic squares of the city and is located precisely in the historic center of Guimar\u00e3es.<\/p>\n

In this square there’s the old Convent of Our Lady of Oliveira, the church of Oliveira and the magnificent cloister that you can find in Alberto Sampaio Museum.<\/p>\n

In front of the church you can see the Salado Pattern that represents the victory of the king D. Jo\u00e3o IV over the moors in 1340 in the battle that was known by the same name (salado).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also can highlight the medieval building that was the old Town Hall; this was the building that represented the city of Guimar\u00e3es.<\/p>\n
